Alvin Allure – Stuck

Sometimes kids dream of love but get stuck in their ways…The people that love us can be a catalyst for growth as they push you to move closer to your goals, but at the same time they can also be a catalyst for stagnation. Often times in relationships, we can actually be our own worst enemies, and our old ways can keep us from moving forward even though we say we know better. Insanity has been described as doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results, and there’s nothing that can make a person crazier than being in love. We’ll keep trying until we break the habit…until we’re no longer stuck in our ways…and until we allow ourselves to change for the better.

So Close to Summer 007 – “The Seventh Letter”

SoCloseToSummer007 (TV Size)

Music is meant to be created, curated, and shared. It’s been a mission of mine to do just that through Sound of February and I’m always looking for new ways to expand how we share sounds and the feelings that accompany them.

Our 7th episode is called “The Seventh Letter”, which is a list that makes us feel bossed up but laid back. We hope these songs will get you to zone our a bit and feel the energy coming through your speakers. As always, Subscribe to the YouTube channel for more vibes and start the dialogue in the comments box below the main video (or let the tweets fly).

Usher – Crash

Looks like the A-town legend is beginning to make moves towards his new album. Crash is one of two singles released tonight (check out the Young Thug-assisted “No Limit” on Tidal) featuring artwork by renowned creator Daniel Arsham.

Chiraq: A Spike Lee Joint (Trailer)

Spike Lee’s newest film Chiraq (due out on December 4th) is loosely based on the ancient Greek comedy Lysistrata, where women agree to withhold sex from husbands and boyfriends until peace in the city is negotiated, but differs as this piece explores gang violence in Chicago. The film will feature Samuel L. Jackson, Wesley Snipes, Jennifer Hudson, Angela Bassett, Nick Cannon, Dave Chappelle, the rapper Sasha Go Hard, and John Cusack, while the main character, Lysistrata, will be portrayed by Teyonah Paris.
